I don’t use FB through a browser, I use the app.

Yeah. We're hosed, that workaround only works for mobile-phone Chrome users. I guess you could use Chrome on a mobile phone,  to access FB, but that would be very kludgey.

A lot of my day-to-day existence relies on FB (health, shopping, food) and being able to translate was a huge advantage.

I'd be fine with the ban just affecting IG, where the original faux pas occurred but can't see the ptb caring much.

Like I said, this sucks.

Still can't figure out why the VPN thing doesn't work unless FB/IG have globally disabled ALL Thai--> Eng translation?

Me, me. I'm a journalist and find I can type quicker on a full-size keyboard than on tiny keys on a phone, and it's also more convenient to save and store what I've written. Maybe it's an age thing. M

  • It’s not strange at all. Tik in Swedish means a female dog. And you can also name a female dog as bitch. Not a nice word for a female dog.

  • You mean the correct word for a female dog ... not a nice word for a female human.

It's not a geospecific change.
