Google Chrome retains an iron grip on web browser market share with well over two billion users. Unfortunately, all those users need to be on high alert because Google has just issued its second urgent upgrade warning in a week.

Easy to apply update, 3 dots, help, about google chrome, update waiting, apply.

Im not getting what the post is about ? Browsers (and most software) update regularly, and its automatic.

Why do we need to be aware of a couple of updates ? Even if you have turned off auto updates, its still going to prompt that an update is available etc.

Am i missing something ?

Mine didn't in this case, maybe because the update came in while the PC/Chrome were in use, then I saw the articles, then I checked and applied the update.

I think the key is to check, and verify the current rev?

Yes, you are correct, in a way.

Unfortunately, these 'automatic' procedures don't always work as they should. It it always good to keep a check, whenever possible, just to make sure. Some updates one can ignore, as they might be some cosmetic improvements, but others might be quite critical.

Re this update, my PC had not done it automatically (please see screen shot) and no error message popped up either!

After reading the article, I manually checked, I saw the issue. Had to uninstall Chrome and re install again.

That was the reason I posted this here, just a heads-up for anyone interested.

After the re-installation...
