Clearly, all hospital walk-ins are tested. We are seeing almost 3,000 of those, so that means another 1,000 cases are the result of testing outside of hospitals. Before today, that is. meechai
Hospitals are overloaded because they have the insane idea they need to bed asymptomatic cases which is a total waste of resources. Secondly Thailand need to chill & face reality not shut everything down to squash protest movements etc Because here is a fact According to the latest WHO data published in 2018 Influenza and Pneumonia Deaths in Thailand reached 44,549 or 9.11% of total deaths. So how many Flu/Pneumonia deaths a day average is that in 2018 PRE COVID? 122 !! How many are dying now of covid according to Thai stats? 20-50 a day? Geez buy a calculator & use some reason & logic Covid has been in full force in Thailand since 2019 period 1 3 1

However, it is unfortunate the measures taken to date have been unable to reduce the numbers to the triple digits of last year. I guess once you have this level of cases the genie can't be put back in the bottle (without widespread vaccinations). Can you provide some numbers to back that up. I don’t recall numbers as high as 5k before, other than on two days when prison cases were dumped. And also don’t recall cases of 4K other than the last week. Prior to that I don’t recall cases of 3k for anything other than a couple of weeks. are you seriously saying that cases haven’t been steadily rising, despite the shortfall in testing? And check out the 7 day rolling average chart. See anything there that says cases arent rapidly rising? Numbers are up a bit but shopping malls now close at 9pm instead of 10pm so that will bring the numbers down. Also this doesn’t exist outside of workers camps and factories and they have all been locked down now so we should see the end of this soon. All hail our righteous leaders, these are the good people. Simply vote them out in the next election if you don’t like what they are doing. I concur with this post, and would like also to go on record by saying PM Prayuth looked particularly dashing in his televised appearance this morning. We are in safe hands now that he has identified migrant workers as the main problem. 1 2

(of an increase) becoming more and more rapid. "the social security budget was rising at an exponential rate" Check out daily increases over the last 2 weeks, bearing in mind daily numbers are inaccurate due to the testing fiasco. You have to read into the numbers, not just take them at face value. In other words, interpret the data given the environment in which it was collected. Exponential growth may have started a week or so ago.

Popular Post James105
Quote hospitals will be overwhelmed and there won’t be enough beds to accommodate the increasing number of COVID-19 patients Maybe it's time to stop putting healthy people without symptoms in hospital then and try the somewhat radical approach of only admitting people to hospital that are actually sick. The failure is not having a better system to put in place when numbers rise.

Well the UK was recording 50-70,000 positive cases a day back in January. What exactly do you want to do with the people testing positive should Thailand get to even 50% of these numbers? How do the logistics work of even feeding and accommodating this many people if you do not just send them home if they are not sick? 2
