My 86 year old next door neighbor ( Tom ) , who is not very computer savvy , has asked me to help. Ive had a look at Tom's Windows PC , but as a Mac computer man , I'm struggling to find an answer. Tom has an application all ready installed on his Windows PC , that he's been using for a long time now, without any past problems . Now when Tom tries to start that application by clicking the desk top icon , a warning comes the on desk top saying ( the client is running ) . After seeing that ( the client is running ) I have tried to locate that running app , without any success. So I'm hoping some one here can point me in the right direction to locate the all ready running app. I have turned off Tom's PC and restarted it several times, but the same desk top warning keeps appearing , and Ive also stopped and restarted the app in question , but again the same result ( the client is running ) .
