Are the Thailand government practising genocide by their control of vaccines in the persuit of profit

I'm no certain you understand what 'genocide' means?

But, assuming you posed a question, then, "no".

Now gunning down citizens in Bangkok? Maybe just state-sanctioned murder.

Genocide?

No.

Blatant discrimination that will have grave consequences?

Yes.

Embassies -- are you getting this by now?

No need for Chinese influence.

Every dose of Moderna given is a dose less of AZ or Sinovac. That's a fistful of dollars less profit for the owners.

Sure that is true but the owners are not the Thai government and it is the Thai government that is making the choice not to actively procure Pfizer or Moderna.

So, if it is the "owners" the Chinese of the drug Sincovac who benefit are they using they using the Chinese to threaten disfavor if they don't steer things towards Sinovac or are they using financial inducements to those making the decisions in Thailand.  The same would be true of Astra Zeneca.  However to a far lesser degree.

It appears to me that those in charge are slow walking the procurement of the alternative mRNA vaccines and usually there is a reason for such action other that just not getting around to it.

That's correct. I thought there is no need to mention it.

It is not something i will talk about.

IDK. Is there any chance the country will open up by the end of the year? Things were looking kind of good a few weeks ago, but recent news seems like there will be a delay.

Hoping things open without restrictions (except proof of vaccination), but giving up hope for that. Maybe Sonkran?

Currently Thailand’s Covid death rate is 16 times less than the world average and it is the  country with the 164th highest death rate.

if you think Thailand is guilty of such gross mismanagement of the virus that it rises to genocide, why not try prosecuting the 163 countries with a higher death rate too?

They are now actively taking measures but the fact is that what there is and will be for 2021 is already spoken for. They could do something like approve Novavax for Thailand. Phase 3 clinical trials show its very effective. The USA is slowwalking approval because it doesn't need it anymore. But that shouldn't stop other counties that do.
