Is there an 'approved' vaccination?

Featured Replies

Not aware of a list. But I would think that vaccines that have been approved by the international World Health Organization will be acceptable to all or certainly almost all countries.
As long as you have your official government issued receipts for being vaccinated with one of those vaccines, you “should” be good.
Sinopharm, Sinovac, and AstraZeneca are available in Cambodia, but if you have been already fully vaccinated with another Covid vaccine approved by the World Health Organization and the CDC and other world recognized health organizations, I would expect Cambodia to find that to be satisfactory.
    But then, …who knows?

Yes, you can probably find it on Thai embassies home pages, or under Phuket Sandbox.

These vaccines were approved for entry by April...

The list of approved vaccine-makers are Sinovac, AstraZeneca , SK Bioscience, Pfizer, BioNTech SE, Serum Institute of India, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna and Sinopharm Group.

I remember to have read that approved Covid-vaccines for entry to Thailand are the WHO-approved ones, and those approved by Thailand.

I am in Europe and planning to go to Thailand as soon as possible, possibly under the Sandbox scheme. I got my first Astra Zeneca jab some weeks ago.

Now I have the choice to take either AstraZeneca or Pfizer-BioNTech for my second one. Of course I'd prefer the BioNTech, due to the better efficacy, but I fear that then I run into problems entering Thailand.

The embassy still states that both shot have to be the same brand to enter under the Sandbox program, but I also read somewhere that mixed vaccination was accepted now also.

Does anyone has a reliable info about that issue?

Reliable info is out there, but Thailand changes their ideas every 5 minutes.

It was in the Thai news some week ago about tourists was NOT granted access after 2 shot of different vaccines. If you have 2 different you are considered half vaccinated 2 times. Not 1 time fully vaccinated.

Rules might have changed since then.
