GPO secures deals to sell Moderna vaccinations to private hospitals

BANGKOK (NNT) - Faripiravir produced by the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) has received registration with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and should be able to begin distribution to those in need from August, with the organization also closing deals to sell Moderna brand COVID-19 vacine doses to a private hospital ahead of its signing of a purchase agreement with Zuellig Pharma on July 23.

PATHUM THANI (NNT) - A COVID-19 test center located at Dhupateme Royal Thai Air Force Sports Stadium in Pathum Thani, has extended its operations now until 30th July to cope with a massive turnout, now using antigen test kits for the initial screening to improve speed and increase capacity.

Health authorities ask people not to buy COVID-19 test kits online

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Public Health is maintaining its recommendation for people to seek COVID-19 screening using the less time consuming antigen test method at hospitals, as health authorities are still working on guidelines for self-tests at home. The Thai FDA says no FDA-approved test kits have received clearance for home use yet, urging the general public not to buy the ones being sold in online marketplaces.

Samui Plus visitors, COVID-19 negative in first test

SURAT THANI (NNT) - The results are in for COVID-19 tests of more than half the foreign tourists arriving in Ko Samui yesterday in the Samui Plus campaign, with 5 out of 9 tested negative, with results pending for the remaining four. Local authorities have reminded visitors that they are sill required to follow disease control measures strictly.
