The provincial health chief of Ubon Ratchathani province, Dr. Suvit Rojanasaksothorn, has appealed for public calm over the arrival by train on Monday of COVID-19 infected natives of the province, travelling from Bangkok for home or community isolation.

 

He said that about 40 infected people are to disembark in Warin Chamrap district, of the 1,490 travelling on the special train to their home provinces in the Northeast.

 

He said that most of the passengers will disembark in Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin and Si Sa Ket provinces, adding that, initially, a total of 294 had expressed a wish to travel on the train... [read more]

First they drum up an extreme level of paranoia and fear, with the Covid news. Now, they ask the locals to be calm?

In the movie "Outbreak" what did they do?  The locked down the town and isolated the contagion area.

Here in Thailand what do they do?  They use trains, planes, and automobiles to spread the contagion across the entire nation.  Nobody wants to ask the hard question:  "Why is that?  They have been doing this since Songkran.  And they keep doing it.

As soon as Bangkok is empty they will shout   ''Look how clever we are; now Bangkok has zero new cases every day '' !   All predictable really as to Bangkokians they are the Centre of the Universe and the rest of the country can go to Hell as it is full of Jungle Bunnies and, even more important... 'REDS' !

Get rid of the problem and send it home? That's how you prevent the spread of infection? Against advice not to travel, checkpoints and all?
