PHUKET: Phuket Provincial Police have launched an investigation into staged photos posted online showing white shrouds spattered with blood strewn on the streets of Phuket Town in protest over the government’s handling of the current outbreak of COVID-19.

Lt Col Akkaradet Pongprom of the Phuket City Police reported that a formal complaint about the photos was filed by local resident Kittisak Siangsalak, 41, at about 10am this morning (July 30).

The photos were shared by the local political activist group ‘Phuket Free Youth’ through their Facebook page last night.

Ehm, lol? Don't know how to respond to this one, considering.

The sound of silence:  great tune.

all police and the government agencies are taking stance against this artistic happening with strong wording and threatening with action.

That is what it is, just artistic expression, with anti government message, and warning of times to come.

Not in phuket, but in bangkok deaths from covid on the streets did happen. Of course, phuket is the most vaccinated part of country. But still not everybody got the jab.

In the west this would just be an expression of free speech, annoying to some but that's their problem. Here it's a crime. ("Here" figuratively, because I just escaped to the US.)
