Well it might depend of whether I was put into expensive quarantine at the UK end too, and stay there in UK between the 2 vacs... the restrictions getting back into Thailand are on top of that for me.

From what I can make out at the moment, the quarantine may be done at your home or wherever you are staying. No need for a hotel as Thailand is still on amber list.

Anyone have a "pre-register" website for NakornPing Hospital in Chiang Mai (like the one above for Bangkok Hospital Khon Kaen) ?

Or will they contact us from the ExpatVac site we previously registered at?

No home now.... would seem unfair to drop in on a family member.

A Thai friend cc'ed me yesterday with this article.

Is this a case of Pfizer shenanigans?

https://thestandard.co/thosaporn-lead-team-to-bhumibol-hospital-asking-pfizer/

Looking at the total numbers administered, it seems that there are more frontline medical personnel than there are Pfizer doses.

I'm fairly certain I just received an appointment via my expatvac registration.

That's the good news. The bad news, it's for someone else.

So I created a new and unique email for expatvac, on 1 Aug. Up until today, it had received two emails only, one from expatvac "you've registered this email..." on 1 Aug, and another from expatvac@ consular.go.th  , "Your registration for the FIRST dose of COVID-19 vaccination is successful."

So this evening, sent to this address I received an email from MedPark confirming an appointment for this week. The email addressed my name correctly, but in the body of the email, there is another person's name. Not sure if this is some sort of automation-induced error, or just some clerk who's overworked.

There is no way MedPark could have gotten this email other than from expatvac, or a hack thereof.

Yes, I am attempting to get this email to the person to whom it was intended.

FWIW, I received another email from MedPark today, this time with my name matching in the greeting and the body of the email.

Subject: [CONFIRM] Vaccination Appointment from MedPark

Appointment is scheduled for tomorrow.

This came in on a singular, unique email address ONLY provided to expatvac.

Toston & Smedley. If you are over 60 or with at least one certificated health condition of the 7 listed as making you at risk, try thailandintervac.com. It's still a live site. The two sites (of about 8-10 available) I checked this AM to see if registrations were still possible seemed to indicate some possibility. Khon Kaen said "pre-registrations (presumably new ones) start 17th August and Medpark seemed to be active for registrations and i couldn't be bothered to check em all. I was checking only to answer a similar question on a local-to-me expats facebook group; I already have a couple of registrations from that website's earlier incarnation when it reopened after expatvac.com became full, around 2-August.

Should be Pfizer or AZ. Will be free if you can get an appointment.

I believe the reason we’re looking for an AZ shot—we have Thai GFs/wives.  We may qualify for Pfizer—but they won’t.

lol - yes because they are 30 years younger

surely AZ is an option for some

Just got my confirmation too. Same time same place same vax. Booked via thailandintervac.com on 5-Aug. At least I assume it is an intervac response not an expatvac 2-Aug one. Date is right, time not quite the one I selected, so will have to stay over the night before.

Well, if you get the earliest appointment -- if you are one of the people that starts camping out at 3am to get a queue number... you will only have 7 hours in the queue ????

Pay attention.

We have a number, no need to queue.

Not to mention frontline medical workers in need of boosters.

We will not take Pfizer until they have been taken care of.

I've just received this email rejecting my application submitted on August 2nd for a vaccination using the expatvac.consular.go.th website. The reason for rejection is "lack of required visas". I attached my passport ID page, the First page of the passport with details of my Non-O visa and latest extension stamp to the application. Maybe something went wrong during the attach files process.

After receiving this email, I've successfully registered again with a different email address and a slight variation of my given name and the whole of my passport as a single pdf file. Suppose I'll have to wait another 14 days to see what happens (if anything)

Just had exactly the same email. Given up on the expatvac fiasco and have registered through intervac at BKK hospital in Khon Kaen. Looks more promising after speaking to someone there to confirm registration and awaiting appointment email later today ????

@SiamesecarperDo you need to live in KK province to do that?

Hi from here out in the sticks, deepest Esan. Got the message from my Embassy yesterday that I could register for a first shot, couldn't really believe it. I'm over 75 and try to keep up with Diabetes mellus since around 20 years. Went with my Missus this late morning to the hospital which takes care of my diabetes, for a medical certificate. All done and set within one hour. Arrived at home and sent my application. I was greeted with a success message. Now waiting ....
