pseudorabies Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Ouch. It's all good fun until someone loses an eye. I once shot down a pigeon in a warehouse, mid-flight, with the type of slingshot that uses a wrist brace. The steel shot went straight through the pigeon. Those things are no joke.

But these are glass marbles and a bit of elastic. They'll still hurt, but go through a pigeon, I think not. Edited August 11, 2021 by KannikaP 1

Gottfrid Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 (edited) Wonder with what right they seized the products. They where just standing there. Marbles are not illegal and neither is sling shots of what I heard. Don´t take me wrong, I do understand why they seized the products, but not which part of the law they can use to defend themselves. Popular Post CrunchWrapSupreme Posted August 11, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 11, 2021 Sounds like a setup. Oh, look what these evil criminals had. Why just leave them there like that? You know, like back in the States, cops would search a car, then drop a bag of coke. 2 1

In Thailand the police decide what is law and what is not... Of the real laws they have no clue 1

Strange that the police, who were manning the roads, just happen to 'trip' over the black bag and look inside. Unless, of course, they were told where to look by the Royalist supporter who planted them there? Just a thought. 5

Its all about context, if you have a big wrench in your toolbox as a plumber its ok, if you bring it to a protests its a weapon. Its not that hard to understand. Marbles + slingshot + protest = weapon Kids with a slingshot and marbles far away from protest sites = being naughty / having fun
kingstonkid Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 If the protestors can show that they are not using these things fine but I am sure based on past protests that there are idiots in the protest group that are doing it. Let's face it there are always going to be people that use a peaceful protest to create mayhem and break laws. Smart thing for the protestors to do is turn in people they see using them to the police. 1

Please cast your mind back to last year. Most protests were peaceful. Certainly for the earlier protests. The police used rubber bullets, tear gas and water cannon (shooting liquid containing 'irritants') from the very first large protest. After a few peaceful protests (police still using rubber bullets) Covid and the emergency laws stopped further protests. When the protests restarted, they were mostly peaceful but quickly turned into less peaceful as the police, again, became more violent. This does not take into account the Royalists that were not peaceful. At least one was carrying a loaded weapon and he discharged it. Then there were the undercover police/military that were mixing with the peaceful protesters. All in T shirts and trousers but with military haircuts and boots. Yes, some protesters have become less peaceful. As I said earlier, kick a peaceful dog often enough and it will eventually bite you. The best people to keep the protests peaceful (the leaders) are now all in jail. Sadly this is going to get worse. 6
EVENKEEL Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Wonder when the looting will start to happen. That's how they protest in the US. Burn and loot. 1
