PHUKET: Police are investigating an attack in Patong that saw a 23-year-old man being shot in the leg and hit on the head with a baseball bat.

Patong Police were first alerted to the attack by the 191 national police hotline at 5:45pm yesterday (Aug 11), after rescue workers from Kamala Tambon Administrative Organisation (OrBorTor) reported taking a wounded man to Patong Hospital.

The man, identified as Teepakorn Klaewban, 23, had been shot in the right thigh and had suffered an impact injury to the head. Teepakorn was later transferred to Bangkok Hospital Phuket in Phuket Town.

"Officers this morning (Aug 12) returned to inspect the scene of the attack"

Couldn't be bothered inspecting the CS in the afternoon on the 11th, waited until the next morning to go to the scene!!

That looks like a pellet gun made to resemble a Glock and not an actual firearm.

And speaking of firearms, why do all pistols in Thailand seem to have rubber bands wrapped around the grip?

Better grip, can also be used to deactivate a grip safety without permanent modification.

High unemployment, no welfare net, rampant drug abuse will always result in hogher crime statistics.

Inevitable, people will result to drastic measures to feed there families and themselves.

I think this bodes bad news for the shortlived "Sandbox" thingamajing.

To hold it together maybe? ????

Don't know much about guns like that but in the unlikely situating that there's a screw through the grip to hold it together and given my experience of my family then it probably worked loose and fell out. If it were in our house it would be tied together with a piece of cloth rather than look for the screw.

Anyway that's a view into my world. Thanks for listening.  ????
