So by reading about it on Google animal owners can cheaply spay and castrate animals with utensils dug up from the kitchen draw. I'll let you know how I get on.

Just to expand a bit on this topic and putting dogs down. I had to put my beloved dog down after 16 years. It took me a lot of effort to find someone who was willing to do so. The dog could not walk for at least 6 months. It was lying on a matrass i bought topped with a pee pad. 

 

This was done so he would not have too many pressure sores, I was content with cleaning up after him helping him drink water and eat. He was not in pain and I could not bring myself to end his life. But unfortunately after a while it got worse and in the end he could hardly move stopped eating and drinking and had breathing problems. I called around and was lucky that my GF had friends one of them found a foundation that was willing to help.

 

I was not allowed to watch as according to them it happened in the past that vets put dogs down and then (Thai) owners got remorse and blamed the vet and then went to the police. So there is more to it then just religion and money grabbing. So by me not being able to look i could not identify what of the 3 vets did it. 

 

I was sad that he died but happy his suffering was over still hurts now but anyone who lost a pet knows how i feel. They would not accept any money for this but would accept a donation to their foundation done by bank on an other day. Whatever i wanted to give. So it truly is not all about money. 

 

At least not all of the time. Now as i write i look at the ashes of my dear dog feeling sad. I hope that others can find a vet to help end suffering when they need it. So dogs can go in a humane way.

 

As for bury or burning if your in BKK near rama 4 road there is a crematorium just for pets. 4 furnaces  price around 2000bt for a big dog. You can bring him / her there.

Honest vets who respect animals sterilize them for free. If your vet isn't doing, he is a greedy idiot who has less brain than his patients. People who give money to this kind of vet are not better than them.
