1993 Yamaha Belle R

Featured Replies

Hey all.

Dose anyone have experience with these bikes?

I mostly work on the old 2T scooters. Yamaha Jog, Honda Dio & Suzuki Step. This is my first rodeo with the old 4 gear Thai 2T's. Not new to rolling wrecks (which it is).

Engine runs. So another project to keep busy with. Parts don't seem to be a problem. Lazada ect.

Im after any advice & a workshop manual. Or somewhere that could provide the plastics would be great.

Cheers,

Hey papa al.

Thanks for that link mate. Never even thought of Shopee.  Found a heap load of parts & plastics. Reasonable prices compared to the Jogs.

I gave the carby a good clean & syringed in some fuel. Engine would idle for a few seconds and then surge. So an obvious air leak somewhere.

Tore down the engine. Clutch plates are kaput, Seals are bad (hence the surging) the head could do with a .5 rebore.  Great thing is. Apart from being a rusty rolling wreck its not been bastardized.

This one is going to be a long ass project. May make a rebuild thread for a laugh.  Some pics of what i'm in for.....

Payed 1000tb for it.

This you may know ,that exhaust pipe  will probably be chocked up ,especially if it has run on gashol ,it just chocked it up not easy to clean.

So ,block the exhaust ,I used to use a piece of potato stand to exhaust  on  its end mix up some caustic soda and water pore it in to the exhaust and leave it fr a few days ,then empty it and flush out with clean water it should leave it nice and clean.

Just hope they are no holes in the exhaust  ,if it is a small hole some plasticine  should work,or the Thai way rap a piece of inner tube around the pipe .

Up to a few years ago wife's sister was still using one of these bikes.

Hey Kickstort!

Yea! Had a load of carbon "pebbles" fall out. Once i half beat it to death with a rubber mallet.

I made a new rebuild thread. Would love your input/advice there bro.
