A 70-year-old woman in Thailand’s northeastern province of Buriram was mistakenly given two shots of AstraZeneca vaccine on the same day at a vaccination centre in the province. Fortunately, she has not yet developed any serious side effects.

This unprecedented incident was disclosed to the media in Buriram today (Wednesday) by the woman, Somwang Jukul, a resident of Sadao sub-district in Nang Rong district, and her son Boonsong, who is a lawyer.

Mrs. Somwang said her son took her and her husband and another relative to the vaccination centre for their second vaccine doses on August 14th, after having had their first jabs of Sinovac vaccine on July 24th.

Makes me wonder if they have written it all wrong in the Cigna commercial line under the article. Maybe it should have been about life insurance.

Now if this were the USA, I would be quite suspicious...but in this case...what was the son doing when Mom was queuing up for her second jab of the day ?

It says this was for her second dose.  What's odd is that she had her first dose a couple of weeks before that.  The first one must have been Sinovac.

At least she got two jabs of Astra now.

I wondered if she was senile?

Its hard not to know you only need one shot unless you're mentally impaired.

It is three months between doses for foreigners here on Samui. Less for Thais! ????
