ZTE F670 Firmware

Featured Replies

I have TOT internet and they installed a ZTE F760 router which came with hardware v1.0 and software V1.0.10P6T6

I'm sure lot's of you have the same model. I am trying to use the DDNS feature with NO-IP dynamic DNS service but it doesn't seem to be working (I'm reasonably sure I had it working at some stage in the past). What I'd like to find out is if there is a firmware upgrade and whether any of you guys have carried out an upgrade (successfully or unsuccessfully).

This unit probably has TOT-custom firmware.

There may be a newer version, contact them and they can download it directly. I wouldn't be flashing any firmware to this on my own.

Once you're in the UI: 192.168.1.1   admin/tot

Look under Application. DDNS should be the first option.

If you get stuck contact TOT. TOT Care seems responsive on social media.

My thoughts exactly. I will get my wife or daughter to call TOT and find the answer in Thai (could get complicated in English).

Not being able to use DDNS in Thailand is usually not a problem of the router firmware.

Google for CGN (carrier grade NAT) and contact your provider that you want to be assigned a proper public IP instead.
You need to talk to a proper technician, the  customer service agents on the phone regularly have no clue about this.

Some providers charge additional fees for that (AIS afaik) some do it upon request (True, TOT)

AIS Fibre offers a free service, uses THDDNS. It works fine, bit tricky to set up the first time.

It'sts quite easy for the OP to see if they are behind CGNAT  by comparing the router WAN IP address to the IP address reported by  sites like whatismyipaddres.com

if they are not the same then its CGNAT and DDNS will be broken.

I believe ToT started to use CGNAT

more often since the merger with CAT telecom they put me behind CGNAT without any warning or explanation..I only noticed when I couldn't connect to my IP cameras from outside my own network.
