And all the time you could be a potential spreader because you have selfishly decided not to get Vaxxed

And even if you HAVE been vaxxed you could STILL be a potential spreader.

Thailand needs to get its own house in order before starting to entertain foreign tourists and then they need to drop all the B S red tape and money gouging restrictions  - either open fully or don't bother, if you can't even open to your own local population how on earth are you ready for foreign visitors - all this is a political message to make the government look good in the news - the truth is something entirely different - "look we are opening up" just doesn't cut it on any level - Thailand is far from open or ready

Correct.

to be specific: Thais older than 75 years.

But of course, you are free to continue to be scared if you want.

Oh well, if it's only those 75+ who die, that's all right then is it?  Someone would have to be a sorry excuse for a human being to even consider that acceptable.

Millions of Americans USA went to football stadiums this past weekend jampacked stadiums without mask just keeping the economy going got to love them

Vaccinated only

So why, in a country with a relatively low vaccination rate and a relatively high infection rate, do they insist on treating fully vaccinated people from places with relatively low infection rates as if THEY are the problem?

But if others are vaxxed then its no different than spreading the flu….or a cold.  Remember those days.??? So many died of the flu every year.  Flu shots are advised during thecwinter flu season  for elderly .

Yes, possible but far less likely according to scientific studies.

I was watching a popular American youtuber the other day in the Jupitor area of Florida.

He's just got over a bout of Covid which knocked him for six, he also gave it to his wife and two daughters.

Previous to getting infected he would post videos of himself going around, mixing with all sorts of people, no mask, no social distancing nothing, and eventually got nailed.

After being fully quarantined at home he eventually got better.

Now he's out and about again, guess what.... same as before, no mask, no distancing never learned a damned thing.

His latest video was at a national drag race circuit, thousands of people there.. none protecting themselves, ridiculous.

Those ignorants you'll find Not only in US unfortunately ????

Do you not understand ???????

Being vaccinated does not protect you from catching or spreading Covid, it hopefully minimises the chances of you the vaccinated either being ill enough to be hospitalised or worse case scenario dying, so the person who is not vaccinated is the one who selfishly will fill the hospital or morgue.

Bring back the 7 day quarantine plus tests as planned last april.  Reasonable enough as fully vaxxed and tested poise the least risk

My wife is 71 and she will not get the vaccine I'm 64 and the only reason I will get it is because it will probably be tied in with my retirement extension

The whole set up is to now have you always have to ask permission to have your basic freedoms, which can be revoked instantly...if we, as citizens, allow them to gain that control.

Beats dying needlessly

Pattaya is NOT going to 'Move On' until all these daft Thailand entry restriction have gone. It's a complete waste of time and man hours even talking about it. But I guess it's all about making them look busy and deserving of an income.

Tell us, how does this make the UK entry requirements look, has "daft" been breached?

A law firm representing travellers is taking the government to court over the UK's quarantine hotel policy.

Just endless prevarication. As Kenneth Williams would say; "Stop messin about"

Ummmm....covid isn’t a normal cold or flu virus. Please, start reading the proper news.

you are looking at entry requirements from Red List Countries into the UK

That is not what Thailand is doing - with their tourist entry requirements they have basically red listed all foreign entries vaccinated or not or some form of mix of protocol - either way it is all designed to gouge money through expensive hotels to multiple tests - they have green listed no one and no country

Alternatively the UK and other western countries have green list countries were there are no restrictions - amber being slightly more

99 % of the population on this planet... beg to differ.

For them, Covid is nothing but a cold. Or a small flu.

Most of them do not even feel... a thing. Not even a running nose.

Please, start reading the proper news.

@Cake Monster except that you can spread it if you been vaccinated, so that isn't a argument.

99% is an inaccurate stat. Every country has admitted to under counting cases and deaths.

You also seem to be unaware of long covid. Wow.

Catch up!

Well you can be vaxxed and still spread it although apparently not as severely.

However, if the people around our unvaxxed friend ARE vaxxed, let him get on with it.

I'm sure some of the people here in UK with whom I've been in contact since May (when I got vax #2) aren't vaxxed - I am so why worry?

THAT....IMO....is where life returns to normal as it increasingly is in UK

because  they have less protection against every aspect of this virus (read my above post)

using words like "can" or "might" or "maybe" doesn't cut it, vaccines are extremely effective as proven over and over....................fact

refusing to be vaccinated is careless and irresponsible
