Popular now pane not showing now

Lately and mostly early in the mornings, the Thailand home page right hand pane column "popular now" is not populated at all

not even with one item as it used to be so far, is this by design or it's something to do with my machine's setting?

have tried to ask support but so far no reply...

I see a "Popular Now" box at the very bottom of the page (right side) under the list of topics. Only a single entry in it.

It will not appear unless a topic has enough new posts to be shown. Not sure what the threshold is for one to be shown as popular.

Today (or at least for the moment now) the "Popular Now" box is missing altogether. Just a narrow white bar where the box had been at this time yesterday.

Looking around the forum as a whole post count seems to be down quite a lot compared to before the change of name?
