Banglamung – Three people have sustained injuries after a sedan driver slammed into road barriers on Motorway 7 in Nongprue. Traffic was tailed back many kilometers yesterday as a result of the accident (October 18th).

Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 5:30 P.M. on Motorway 7 section 5 in Nongprue.

The first response teams, Nongprue police, and The Pattaya News team arrived at the scene of the accident to find a damaged sedan and the pickup truck. Three people inside the sedan had sustained injuries. All three were taken to a local hospital for medical assistance. Traffic was tailed back many kilometers as a result of the accident. The names of the injured were withheld by Nongprue police, pending a further investigation of the circumstances behind the accident.

Kept hearing ambulances yesterday in the morning, either heading up Suk towards and from Laem Chabang, or up Hwy 36 toward Pong from Suk (and back). Obviously this was not it. Busy weekend coming up, so expect more, Bangkok drivers get confused when they see space in front of them.

Coming back from Bangkok some time back, I counted NINE vehicles telescoped together in the fast lane.  Looking at the above photo, it's easy to see excessive speed was the main contributor.

And the penchant for getting up your axx.

Looking at the damage one could assume speed was a factor.
