I would, I prefer to be covered by insurance, because I don't have minimum $1000 for hospitel and because I have paid for my 3 insurance policies well over $1000 (just only because of pandemic). Together that would be over $2000 loss.

I would also prefer to have proper medical care and medicines right from testing positive and before any symptoms began, than wait until symptoms do appear and too late for effective antiviral treatment. That would be loss of my health, including risk of long covid and complications for many years arising from that illness. I would like to minimise that risk.

There might be situations, as now in chiang mai or earlier in bangkok, when even symptomatic patients are not admitted and dying at home.

It's your choice how you will react. That's my attitude to health matters. I would err on hypochondriac rather on the opposite
