allane
You need: - From you passport, 1 copy each of your ID page, Arrival card page, and current Visa Extension page, and the completed "90 Day Notification form" - Two envelopes; one small enough to fit inside the other 1. Sign and date the 3 photocopied pages and the 90 Day form. 2. Address the small envelope to yourself. 3. Address the large envelope to your Immigration office, with your return address on it too. Do not seal the large envelope at this point. 4. Take all the above to the Post Office, about 2 weeks before your due date. Buy a 3 baht stamp and put it on the small envelope. (In the future, you might reduce from 2 weeks). 5. At this point, put everything else in the large envelope and seal it. 6. Tell the clerk you want to send it by Registered Mail (Rong tabien in Thai). Buy enough postage to do that. Affix the stamps, and keep the receipt. This prevents Immigration from saying they didn't receive it. Edited October 30, 2021 by allane x

Popular Post DrJack54
Couple of added points to above posts. The enclosed copies required has been covered. Post EMS 37baht. I use two B4 envelopes. The return one folded in half to fit inside the mailed envelope. With this size CW (not sure about other offices) return all my photocopies and new TM47 form. On return envelope place a 10baht stamp. Personally I send photocopy of most recent report receipt (not the original) At CW you mail this 15 days prior to report. The EMS provides record that you sent it. Attached example.

DrJack54
Since someone bumped this thread. Some folk ask about return of receipt from CW. Just today received my return envelope which is 2 weeks after my due date and that's 4 weeks in total from my posting it. Again they returned all my photocopies for next report along with new form. Sweet ????

TantrikLvr
Can one do the 90 day, at another Imm Office, if visiting another province from the previous one used, or online? Must it be the office near where the last tm30 was from? Is a copy of that necessary?
chilly07
Just done mine on line through Immigration web site. Worked perfectly first time with instant approval (Jomtien) I do meticulously check each entry and drop down against last approval. Don't understand why anybody would have a problem with this. Sorry for being a smug bxxxxxd! I think you might be misunderstanding that some people can do everything correctly on the immigration web site and still not get their 90 day report accepted. I would say that's actually the case with most people who say it doesn't work for them. The reason for that isn't that they didn't respond to a question correctly, but that their data in the database used by immigration is not correctly updated. You have no control over what happens to your 90 Day Report data at immigration. Whether it gets entered into the computer or doesn't. As an example, while I have successfully used the 90 day report online system a dozen times, it recently stopped working for me. I didn't suddenly become stupid or careless. Luckily, the Phuket Immigration drive-through is a great alternative for me. More recently I have changed to a new passport. There is no possible way the online 90 day report system will work with a new passport that has not been used to enter Thailand yet. Short of leaving Thailand and re-entering using my new passport there is no way to get the online 90 day report system to work for me. It's great that the online system works for you, I'm just not sure it's something to be smug about. It can stop working for you in the future due to no fault of your own. And it's not like you can just go into immigration and have them fix it for you. ????

I have read somewhere that the stamp should be 10 baht. This is incorrect as the postage for a internal letter used to be 3 baht. I have always included a 3 baht SAE but noticed on the Thai Post website recently that the cost now is 5 baht, so best stick a 5 baht stamp to be sure (although it doesnt seem to matter much as the stamp is rarely stamped and can be reused). DogNo1
The mail-in report papers are a bit more work to prepare than doing an on-line filing but i keep the TM 47 on my computer as an editable PDF and just change the date of submission before I send the package out. The 10 baht stamp helps because all of your photocopies are mailed back so you don't need to make new copies. i don't sign each copy of my passport pages but that hasn't been a problem. I send to Chaeng Wattana and sometimes have had to wait for 45 days to have the 90 day receipt returned. The concierge mails the packet and gives me the EMS receipt so I can track its delivery at Lak Si. All together the cost is less than 100 baht.

unblocktheplanet
The world is on fire & we're quibbling over a 10-baht stamp! Don't forget to include a copy of your entry card. - Go to PO with all docs in an OPEN envelope. - Get PO to put EMS sticker on self-addressed envelope inside. - RECORD THAT EMS NUMBER ACCURATELY; you won't get a receipt. -Then seal & send the full envelope to Immigration via EMS. - Track via Thailand Post. I used to do 'registered mail' but Immigration seems to accept EMS. Using EMS both ways, I got mine back in under four weeks, a record these days. Previous didn't arrive till last minute. Online only works on PCs, maybe even using Internet Explorer.

I would also strongly recommend that you and others take @OneeyedJohn's comments on this particular thread with a large pinch of salt. In the Utopian paradise in which he appears to be living you may, indeed, be able to pick and choose the immigration office at which you submit a 90-day report in person. In the real world, however, this is not possible. Edited November 19, 2021 by OJAS
