1 year extension and the first month.

Featured Replies

Good day all,

I am going apply for a 1 year extension of stay soon.

I will most probably have to leave Thailand (work duties) within the first month.

Does anybody already been in this situation? Any option to get the 1 year extension faster?

Thanks,

Tom

PS: I miss the 1 year NON O multi entry..... ????

What type of extension are you applying for.

Only a extension based upon marriage or being the parent of a Thai has a under consideration period.

Sorry for not being specific, yes it is based on marriage.

I have already an extension reaching its end in 2 weeks.

How long is your planned trip? If you would be back before the under consideration period ends you could get a re-entry permit for it.

You could also apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife or a 60 day covid 19 extension if you will be back before it ends and then apply for the one year extension. You would need a re-entry permit to keep it valid when you re-enter the country.

It will last at least 8 weeks so 60 days would be over by the time I come back.

I guess I will have to go for a 60 days extension this time and then for my next return to Thailand, I will use the visa exemption and 60 days extension  till I can get a proper Non O.

The last thing  I want is not being able to leave Thailand if I have to go back to work during the consideration period of a 1 year extension.
