kleber06
Hi, I will renew my retirement extension in Feb. 2022., which will then expire on Feb 2023. My passport will expire 2 months later, in April 2023. Is that okay? Or is there any passport validity requirement, e.g., 6 months after the extension etc? I had a problem in Hongkong some years ago because of that, but I'm not sure if that is a issue here in Thailand.

mahjongguy
You'll be fine but you must have a renewed passport in hand before the following extension expires in Feb 2023. Otherwise, if you apply for that next extension in Feb 2023 with a passport that expires in Apr 2023, your extension stamp will match your passport expiration date, just two months away. For your time and effort and 1,900 baht, you will not get what you expect.
CANSIAM
In late December 2022 or early January 2023 apply new passport, then in February 2023 apply for yearly extension bringing old and new passports to get the year Feb 2023 - Feb 2024.
