I don't vehemently disagree because I can see your logic but I think you are wrong, and it is not in my view a "massive folly" to acquire a TIN. I have a TIN and as matters stand will not be submitting a tax return for 2024 because i will have not remitted any assessable income in 2024.But more to the point I do not think it likely, even remotely likely, that the TRD will be checking whether non working foreigners with a TIN have submitted returns. -

Visa run from Bangkok: do and don't
Thank you very much. Usually when visa run companies go through a specific boarder it usually means there are many ways to "reach an agreement " there even if someone does visa run on its own and have a problem.. They already became accustomed to.. If you don't mind may I ask you last question. If going from Siem Reap to Chiang Mai through Don Muang I guess I still will go through the inner immigration check point at Do Muang (no Chiang Mai) and that immigration will not be any more friendlier than the one we deal when we end our travel in DM airport. -

It's rife throughout the whole country not just in Isaan and is so cheap. The country is awash with it like it is with the drinking of Lao Khao, a quick way to start a argument which leads to severe consequences. Nothing is done apart from the usual photo op of a drugs bust here and there. We all know why because the money is paid to those to turn a blind eye.
