been tiered pricing for some time, 80,90.100 for singles depending on the numbers.

They basically do what any salesman would do and get the best possible price they can and to hell with the actual law which is also commonplace attitude.

they are charging 100 baht for every ticket......and each ticket has an 80 baht charge on it

a few yrs ago, a copper was overcharged by a vendor.....and he was going to charge the vendor for over pricing......

LIKE many things here NOTHING was ever heard regading this case.....!!!!

Too many farang here always compare things to their home countries and other western countries. You are in Thailand and not your home country or any other western countries so stop comparing Thailand

  • Prayut was going to fix that in 2014. Just like all of his promises it went by the wayside. Remember his "I'll bring happiness to the people".

Why would you buy one of the cheaper tickets when you could buy one of the more expensive 'lucky' numbers........more chance of winning surely with a lucky number?

Government tax or something, it’s about 180,000 bht or so .

No...it is .5% on 6000000 that's 30,000 baht

Some countries (USA for example) tax lottery winnings...so if you cash the ticket...you get stiffed by home country tax. But Thai lottery not considered income and no such tax.

Taxes ? What are they for ?

Stamp duty is due on normal GLO lottery winnings, 0.5%.

It's 2%.  1% for the government and 1% for the vendor.

That is incorrect.  0.5% is deducted from GLO lottery winnings, 1% from the Thai Charity Lottery winnings.
