LAZADA USB Thumb drives and SD cards

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

I was browsing Lazada and saw a very cheap USB drive, 2Tb for 600 baht or so. I looked at the reviews, and they were all 5 star, so I took a chance and ordered one.

it was an HP drive, packaged well, it looked real. And it formatted out to 2Tb. Great.

But when I did some real world file transfers, it was very slow, less than 1 Mb/sec. And the files that were “saved” on the drive were not viable. I transferred over a 7gb movie, but it didn’t play. I finally just threw it away.

i went back to look at the reviews, and every one was someone who had looked at its capacity of 2 Tb, but nobody actually did any file transfers to see if the drive actually worked.

The lesson: don’t buy a USB drive on Lazada.

Same here! ????

I'm going to try the Lazada refund process but I don't hold out much hope.

'Live and learn' I guess.

Yes, you can buy a USB drive from Lazada. The mistake you did was what goes with everything. If it´s too cheap it´s probably not true/good/working. Take your pick.

If you buy a HD, USB drive or a memory card for regular prices they will work just fine.

If you buy from Lazada authorised seller or similar name it guarantees it's a genuine product

I agree - mostly.

It seems some sellers are authorized to sell brand A but then the also sell brand B but are not authorized to do that.

In general I also look for authorized shops i.e. MI phones from the MI shop.

In my experience real products from authorized shops might be 5% more expensive in such a shop. Like maybe a phone for 10,500B in the authorized shop and the "same" phone might also be available from other shops for 10000 or 9900 or something like that. But is it smart to take that risk? For 5% difference?

And then there are shops who offer such a product for maybe 5000 or 7000THB. I avoid those shops because it is extreme unlikely that those products are real and/or not from the back of a truck.

Think realistic, buy realistic from an authorized shop and all is fine.
