What does one do after 90 days if no plan of leaving the country, can you extend somehow, if so for how long?

Thx

It's for a friend, his 90 days are up end of December, at what point should he apply for extension?

What documents are needed for this?

Thx.

He can apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage to a Thai.

You will need 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only for 2 months on the day you apply or proof of 40k baht income.

Edit: To apply for the 60 day extension his wife would have to be with him when he applies.

He will need his marriage certificate plus a copy. Copies of his wife's house book registry and ID card.

Some offices will also want a updated printout of their Kor Ror 2 marriage registry from a Amphoe.

Sorry about my advice re 60day extension to visit wife.

I read your post as "no plan of staying"...ha.

The 60 day extension could buy time to season the money.

So yes he can apply for 12 month extension based on marriage.

Friendly financials of only 400k for 2 months prior to application and also for under consideration period. After that you can withdraw.
