Validity of Covid vaccine

Featured Replies

Dear fellows,

I'm trying to get info about Covid-19 vaccine before I apply for Thai Pass.

Does anyone one know for how long the vaccines are valid? Does Thai government have a list ? Can someone provide a link or reliable source ?

I have not seen anything in the rules for the Thailand Pass for any amount of time for a vaccines efficacy.

There is a requirement that you must be fully vaccinated for at least 14 days.

Valid as in what respect? for Thai Pass I have only seen the requirement that you be fully vaccinated 14 days prior to arrival and PCR tested 72 hours maximum before arriving.

As for Valid from the date of the last vaccination, I know that depending upon the type of vaccine one received, either two jabs or one jab is generally good for 6 months.  The Thai Government however just posted a new schematic on giving booster shots here in Thailand a few days ago  I will try and dig that up for you.  If your talking about your vaccination from another country, I know that those countries say the boosters should be given 6 months from the last shot.

Here is an update on booster shots here in Thailand if the poster of the OP is needing one. This is a post from Tuesday in another OP.

must have completed the series not less than 14 days prior to travel. There is at present no expiry. As to which vaccines are accepted:

What are the vaccines approved by Thailand?

- The vaccines approved by Thailand include:

- CoronaVac (Sinovac)             - AstraZeneca              - Pfizer-BioNTech         - Moderna

- COVILO (Sinopharm)             - Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)           - Sputnik V

7. Does Thailand recognize mixed vaccination?

- Thailand fully recognizes mixed vaccination. However, your second dose needs to be administered based on the recommended timeframe for each vaccine type (first dose), as follows:

       - 1st dose (Sinovac)                 = 2nd dose after 2 weeks

       - 1st dose (AstraZeneca)          = 2nd dose after 4 weeks

       - 1st dose (Pfizer-BioNTech)     = 2nd dose after 3 weeks

       - 1st dose (Moderna)               = 2nd dose after 4 weeks

       - 1st dose (Sinopharm)            = 2nd dose after 3 weeks

       - 1st dose (Sputnik V)               = 2nd dose after 3 weeks

*To be considered fully vaccinated, your 2nd dose must be administered at least 14 days before your travel.

*Those vaccinated with Jansson (Johnson&Johnson) vaccine do not need to receive their 2nd dose to be considered fully vaccinated.

That's right, indeed.

But my concern was after I did some search on the web in general about the vaccines. I find out that vaccine I have Janssenbiotech is valid for 270 days after 22nd day of vaccination. So I was afraid that by the time I enter in Thailand will be too late for me.

Since there is no such a rule in Thailand about this, for now, I'm good to go.I hope.
