December 28, 20214 yr Hi everyone, Is it possible to buy a ticket from Bangkok to Phuket sandbox and then go to Phuket right after landing from Helsinki? I mean the sandbox procedures , not immigration questions. Instead of buying single ticket Helsinki -> Phuket, buy two tickets Helsinki-Bangkok + Bangkok-Phuket. Or should one arrive to the Phuket sandbox directly ?
December 28, 20214 yr Popular Post You cannot transit in BKK, you must fly directly into HKT. Luckily Finnair are flying HEL-HKT (AY151) so ought not be a problem for you.
December 29, 20214 yr If you come via Bangkok you will have to stay one night and get tested there, we stayed in the Novotel at Suvarnabhumi who have a testing facility on site, very convenient.

This was the Test & Go, which is not available at the moment! (Except you already have your ThailandPass) At the moment you have to fly direct to Phuket or have Quarantine at BKK (not only 1 day/night) This will maybe change on January 4th for better or worse!

With Test & Go "Thailand Pass"now canceled that option may not now be available? [Unless you've already been approved]
December 29, 20214 yr No. One has never in the entire history of the Phuket Sandbox been able to transit or land in Bangkok and then proceed to participate in the Phuket Sandbox. The rule is very simple, Phuket must be the ONLY airport you land in in the country of Thailand, if you want to participate in the Phuket Sandbox. Note that a transit in Bangkok is not an exception to that simple rule, if you land in or transit in Bangkok you will not be participating in the Phuket Sandbox.
