Mr Meeseeks
Quote The Covid-19 testing team told Lt. Col Krikrit that the incident stemmed from a group of several men, as many as seven, who were arguing heatedly that escalated into a physical brawl directly in front of dozens of shocked tourists and visitors to nearby venues. Welcome to the real Thailand, and these incidents will no doubt increase, as the financial realities of almost two years with no tourism kick in. Quote The victim, Mr. Narawit, became wounded in the original brawl and attempted to flee but according to the witnesses from the testing team, he fell near their booth and was brutally attacked by several men while lying on the ground. The attack reportedly included kicking the victim in the face, stomping him, and stabbing him with a sharp blade in the chest. A cowardly and brutal attack. Hope they catch the perpetrators and charge them with murder. Not holding my breath though.

I have never experienced aggression from Thai males. Perhaps 3 incidents of hostility that I recall in that time and all have been from farang tourists. Twice from Americans and once from Brits. (I'm American myself by the way). None escalated into violence, in each case I didn't respond with belligerence and in two cases moved on to a different bar stool or a different bar. In one case, I simply ignored the provocation and he got bored and left me and my female friend alone. Maybe I have been lucky but no problems from Thai males. Visiting ain't the same as actually being here. Been living here 31 years. Have personally seen with my own eyes: Thai student stabbed inside Panthip Plaza in Bangkok. Violent rioting at Democracy Monument. Army shooting protestors with live ammunition. The takeover of Suvarnabhumi airport by armed thugs. Several beatings of foreigners by Thai males on Soi Cowboy including one who had his neck broken. Multiple Thai on one Thai attack on the street at Asok Plaza. Bus driver attacking taxi driver with metal bar on corner of Sukhumvit Soi 22. Thai man brandishing gun on Soi Cowboy threatening people. Thai man with fruit cart attacking Thai Police with knife on Soi 22. Numerous other acts of aggression and violence perpetrated by Thai males over the years that ! don't immediately recall. 4

Popular Post Tropposurfer
Sad that someone has died. RIP. I'm glad I have zero interest in such places. Random, the stabbing maybe at tree town, but theres violence daily at tree town. He's correct to mention the way of egress, as there are no traffic lights no police, and the crowds alone are over flowing at time inti the street often results in conflict. It's over crowded and certainly plays unto the agressive nature. Where do you walk? You write as if you are never almost ran over, or have yo dodge the free for all on the roads now.
