webfact
By Cod Satrusayang Hospitals throughout Thailand have been told to prepare for a surge in cases due to close contact and extensive travel over the new year period, a senior doctor told Thai Enquirer on Wednesday. New Year clusters have already been reported by the Ministry of Public Health with popular entertainment areas responsible. These include areas in the capital like Khaosan Road and in provinces like Chonburi and Phuket. Popular Post Dmaxdan
Just a thought, but if they let people with mild or no symptoms self isolate at home then that would take massive pressure off the hospitals. Or is that too logical?

However it will be solely up to the people to follow protocol and Laws. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any co-ordination between the various entities within the healthcare system of Thailand. Does the Medical Services Department, (quoted in the Thai PBS article), talk to the MoPH or the CCSA? Which branch of this system issues the rules/regulations/guidelines? 14 minutes ago, DefaultName said: Just have the asymptomatic self-isolate at home, hospitals can cope with those actually sick. I hope we're getting there, but the various branches "haven't got the memo yet". So it will be the "play it by ear" for a while, until someone is forced to make a "decision" on the subject; presumably either Anutin or Prayut, once the surge in cases becomes clearer. It would of course make sense to plan that now, but hey, when was that ever likely, (and there are cash cow considerations being hammered into the calculators as I write).
