If the information that they are planning to visit Bangkok and Pattaya is correct, the damage (if any) would have already been done as soon as they get on the first public transport, of course if they make it into a hotel, bar or massage parlour!

They find them allready.I think the issue is that hey didnt wait for the result of the last test.

Yeah, right! How many people in Bangkok have Covid now, 20-30,000? (I mean total of currently 'active' cases, not new daily cases.) - Will the 3 they haven't caught yet, make a difference?

Has anyone read the lates guidance from CDC?

Prior to Monday, people who were fully vaccinated — which the CDC has defined as having two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine — could be exempt from quarantine.

Those who are both fully vaccinated and boosted do not need to quarantine if they are a close contact of someone with COVID, but should wear a mask for at least 10 days after exposure. The same goes for those who are fully vaccinated and not yet eligible for their booster shot.

Let's just hope that they don't infect others.

Have you seen latest guidance from CDC?

1. They did nto leave. They were still on the island. (And in any case there is no restriction on traveling after having the day 5-7 repeat PCR test).

2. They had not been given their results. They had tests done, results came in positive, authorities went to contact them with the results and it took them a few days to find them (still on the same island).

Most people would understandably expect, having had a negative test pre-departure and then another negative test on the day of arrival, that their day 5-7 repeat test would also be positive. Until informed otherwise you can not fault these people and there is nothing in their behavior that suggests they were trying to flee.
