Songkhla – Nearly 30 alleged partygoers were arrested at a “VIP” karaoke lounge in Hat Yai, Songkhla in the early hours of this morning, January 9th, after allegedly partying, drinking, and taking illegal drugs, violating the preventive order of the Provincial Communicable Disease Committee.

Officials from the Hat Yai Police Station arrived at a modified restaurant “Walk-in Bar, Folk Song and Dance” located in the Hat Yai district at around 1:30 A.M. after being alerted of the allegedly illegal gathering and partying at the venue from nearby residents complaining about the noise and stating that they could not sleep.

A total of 29 teenagers aged between 16 and 20 years, including 14 men and 15 women, were found dancing and partying in a karaoke room with narcotic drugs like Ketamine, Ecstasy, and Zolam substances scattered all over the floor. Some of them were reportedly found being dumped in the restroom.

A lot more than drinking & drug taking going on there I suspect.

OK to party.  But drugs these days are likely to be laced with fentanyl, or worse.  Sure way to die.  Better living (or dying) through chemistry.

Taking a dump in the restroom? Who'd  have thought it?....

Teenagers between 16-20 years old..And where are the parents?? should 16-18 years old not be at home at a normal time instead of partying late at night in these times?? taking illegal drugs?? I did not know that there were legal drugs too..

In general if people don't want to follow the rules than it should be easy ..... make a curfew and close the entertainment industry again.. The entertainment industry and people want to open, but if they can not behave responsible than they have to bear the  consequences...

You, sir, must be the life of every party.

It IS closed in Songkhla province, and the other southern provinces. You're not even legally allowed to be served alcohol in a restaurant down here. So you can well imagine the frustration of teenagers in Hat Yai with everything shut since April last year.

Yup. And it doesn't even help one iota, with Covid numbers going through the ROOF.

Rubbish.  Despite  the moral panic and propaganda about Fentanyl  it's rarely cut into other drugs. It is a drug of choice among the narcoscenti because its a good cheap high. At small parties the  dealer is usually  known, is a friend and a user of their own product. Most street drugs are not laced with fentanyl..

A rather extreme  view.
