SMS Laws for Businesses in Thailand?

Featured Replies

*Note: Obviously will consult with an attorney if we proceed, we're still doing research*

We have a customer list (no Line contact info) from our ecommerce store.

Would we be able to SMS all buyers asking if they could leave us a review?

Perhaps also offer them an upgrade on their order?

For SMS Marketing I read they have to specifically consent to SMS Marketing (which would be the upgrade offer above) and it seems in most countries this is pretty strict.

Were they made aware of, or given the option to opt out, of unsolicited marketing before providing you with their details?

People are sensitive about SMS, maybe more so than email? And SMS really isn't a thing here, LINE and FB are.

Challenging situation.

Maybe trial a small (~ 10 - 50) email sample eliciting existing customer's input on this matter, offering them a voucher for their participation?
