so the covid "related" deaths are HALF of the road traffic deaths????

Is poor driving Endemic to Thailand?

Thai riders wear a mask more often than they wear a helmet??

If you are a bike rider squashed under a brake failure truck, but you had a positive covid test a week ago, are you counted twice????

Is Siam Bioscience developing a vaccine against selfish and incompetent driving??

Again, or the fourth Day in a row the Thai Infections on Phuket are around mid 300,s, and the Foreign Infections are again mid 100.

With the average of these numbers over a week, there are 1050 Foreign Travelers being placed in Quarantine, every week.

Why are they still coming ?

Surely so many dont seem to be wired up correctly.

Almost 33.000 in hospitels..open the link.

The numbers for omicron a are simply not believable.  It must be closer to 100k cases a day like the UK experieenced at the peak. Most people are not reporting positive ATKs or not even using them. The government is not interested in testing. Mild and asymptomatic cases are continuing their work or businesses, if not entitled to sick pay.

Exactly. It makes you wonder why they even bother announcing the daily figures. Most people are just getting on with their lives.

Totally agree.

If the Thai health system isn't going to be overwhelmed now, it never will.

Tourist area bars and meet and greet gogos are beginning to open until 11pm.

It's now an exercise in control by the Thai government.

Pointless exercise in starving the country of tourist income.

I don't understand the grand standing by the Thai authorities.

Getting on with it is what the government actually is promoting. The traffic yesterday was insane with thousands leaving bkk for Chinese New Year. Yet my school decided to shut again after 2 positive cases (which was against the Health Department criteria for closing). We won't get out of this pandemic if we keep having contnual closures. People actually NEED to get infected for us to get out of this. And the more restricions, the longer it will take.
