About 95% of the workload on the traffic infrastructure project at western end of the Tran Thi Ly Bridge has been completed, and the ground floor of the project has temporarily opened to traffic to serve the travel demand of locals during Tet according to Da Nang Today.

Specifically, vehicles are allowed to go straight on Duy Tan Street to reach the Tran Thi Ly Bridge or turn onto the bridge from September 2 Street.

As for vehicles travelling along the extended Bach Dang Street, they are permitted to go straight through the intersection of Tran Thi Ly Bridge and extended Bach Dang Street, and then turn left towards September 2 Street or turn right onto Tran Thi Ly bridge.

Covering an area of 131,521m2 in the wards of Hoa Cuong Bac and Hoa Thuan Dong, Hai Chau District, the 3-leve traffic re-arrangement project borders Binh Minh 6 Street to the north, 29 March to the south, the Han River to the east, and military agencies and residential areas to the west.

The lowest level is a 4-lane road tunnel taking Duy Tan under the busy junctions with Le Dinh Tham and the western end of the Tran Thi Ly Bridge. The upper level on ground is a roundabout, whilst the highest level is a 14m-wide 4-lane steel overpass over 2 September Street. There are also two 6m-wide frontage roads at both sides of the overpass.

According to the Da Nang Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects, the traffic infrastructure project at western end of Tran Thi Ly Bridge has reached a value of VND 462 billion out of the total VND487 billion so far, equivalent to 95% of the total contract value.

The tunnel has been completed whilst the construction of water supply systems and pumping stations, and the relocation of medium- and low-voltage power grids, and trees, at the road tunnel have also reached completion.
