On Tet eve, downtown Hanoi dons its festive attires

Amid temperatures of around 10 degrees Celsius, people are leaving their homes for downtown Hanoi to shop, all dressed up to enjoy the last day of this lunar year.

 

On Monday morning, the eve of the Lunar New Year, Hanoi's Hang Gai Street was much less populated but very colorful than usual. People hung up the national flags outside in celebration of Tet.

 

The images of Tiger, the Lunar New Year's Zodiac animal, adorn Trang Thi Street along the Hoan Kiem Lake.
