I've lived in Pattaya more than 20 years, yet

I still cannot determine the location of an

address such as: 420/191 Moo 9, Soi 15

What do all those numbers mean?

Yes I agree, it's bleedin annoying when they don't just put the name of the Soi or the main road.

why pay more for nothing?

Granted price point is often the main thing for many.

I prefer to deal with recommended along with reviews etc.

As one poster mentioned above...  a physical presence is a must. Meaning an office.

There are good agents that don't have an office but I never suggest them. Obviously they are cheaper.

The ones mentioned in this thread do have offices.

Ones without offices may not be cheaper, i wouldn't go down that road, i checked 3 agents with offices when i used one and they were more expensive than Maneerat, so why pay more for nothing?

Maneerat is recommended by many and if your happy with price go for it.

Folk should also discuss the ongoing 90 day reports with agent..

Second that. They will do a free 90 day report for you too if you use their visa services. 13/2 also known as Soi Post Office one way off Beach Rd. On the right opposite post office.

Correct the 90 day is free if you do the visa with them.I donate 100 baht tip for their service when I pick up the PP

That's a good deal.

In a current parallel thread, the OP used this agent and paid 14k.

Good price.

They set the price they want to receive.

You are unhappy with that and would prefer to pay more?

Why not seek out an agent who will charge you more for the same task?

Good price.

Just wondering why you think 14k is a good price when the OP you refer to already had a bank account with 800k baht deposited...surely these 2 aspects are the main reason to use an agent but are already done so what was the 14k for?

OP words, in this thread.

"Any recommendations for agent for 12 month retirement Non O extension.

Advice appreciated."

The other thread dealt with an OP helping ill friend.

That friend ended up using agent. I was relating his decision and use of agent 14k.

I gave advice.

What is yours?

BTW bit over you misinformed posts.

14k for service is a lot when you already have a bank account with 800k baht deposited in it

I thought I said that already as my advice, why pay  so much for a simple process if you already have bank funds

Nice edit, yes OP you refer to had medical conditions so agent was good for him, still doesn't explain why 14k is good value for photocopying Passport pages, TM 30, TM 6 and attaching a photo to go with the existing bank details?

How are you helping either OP.

The one in this thread specifically asked for agent recommendation and the other with chap was ill and ended up using an agent.

Please put your attention into helping guys with questions rather than sidetrack.

Ignore on now

You're ignoring my question, why do think 14k is a good deal?

You advised 14k was a good price in a thread asking for agent advice. 14k when you already have a bank account with 800k deposited is not good advice, ignore all you like, this price is a scam unless you are absolutely desperate. Easy to see what you think is normal business in Thailand

Last comment.

Which thread did guy have 800k in Thai bank account.

The 2 threads I clearly referred to were not in that situation.

Please read thread heading.

"Agent recommendation...."

Geez

Maybe you should read threads before you qoute. The 14k fee definitely had 800k in his bank account, just not for the 2 months required

Anyway, you said you put me on ignore, so why are you still chatting?

You meet financial requirements or you don't.

Your indicating very naive understanding of immigration offices.

One thing many are extremely anal on is the financial requirements.

That's it. Off topic nonsense.

Okay, in simple English, why is 14k baht fee a good deal when you already have a bank account with 800k baht deposited? You said it, why is all I'm asking

Completely different question and nothing to do with both threads you refer to.

On an aside, I'm starting to consider using an agent @ 14k.

The money is no issue, however I see the agent alternative a good option.

800k tied up for retirement extensions is looking like bad opportunity cost. Also requires a no married guy to make will for Thai partner to cover the 800k+

All of which is off topic.

If you have personal issue with agent option then peddle it elsewhere.

This thread asked for agent advice.

This 14k is obviously for someone who doesn't have the financial requirements.

If you qualify for a visa legally, the agents charge maybe 3k to help copy documents and maybe so you spend less time at immigration.
