The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is speeding up the vaccination of vendors and workers in 488 fresh markets in the capital this month, Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang said today (Monday), the third consecutive day the daily Covid-19 cases nationwide have surpassed 10,000 again after several months.

He also said that 12 markets, under the supervision of the BMA, will be cleaned up every week, after being inspected by health officials, to ensure that they meet the COVID free setting standard.

Governor Aswin urged members of the public to report, via the BMA’s 1555 hotline or the Department of Disease Control at hotline 1422, if they come across any market which does not comply with the strict safety measures of both the Ministry of Public Health and the BMA.
