BANGKOK, Feb 8 (TNA) – Ministers of the Bhumjaithai Party took their leave from the cabinet’s meeting today apparently to show they disagreed with the plan to extend the Green Line concession, proposed by the Interior Ministry.

The seven Bhumjaithai ministers including Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charvirakul who is the Bhumjaithai leader and Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob, Bhumjaithai’s secretary-general, filed their absence excuse letters claiming they had other tasks.

It happened when the Interior Ministry proposed the Green Line concession extension to the cabinet today.

No brown envelopes for them, or subsidies for their party was planned?

This dispute has been going on for quite a while. So suspect the brown envelopes had already been distributed from the owner (BTSG Group Holdings, the concessionaire) to the regime, but they have yet to deliver a fare increase, or subsidizations. The BMA wants to shift debt to the BTSG, in return for extending the gravy train (Rot Fai Na?) another 30 years.

Maybe they're (BJT) are holding out for more?

"if the cabinet fails to act, they may be sued for dereliction of duty under Section 157 of the Criminal Code", the source quoted the PM as saying.
