That's an unfair and wrong characterization of the event, given the guy poured a drink over her head after being knocked back..

Perhaps you might like to retract that statement..

Nonetheless, she is being applauded for acting like that merely because she is female. It's BS.

It wasn't self defense. She was attacking him.

Maybe he deserved it. But her behaviour is not admirable.

You might even say she punches like a girl.

She failed. She lost control emotionally and physically. Nothing about her actions is admirable, despite being provoked. She demonstrated lack of control and self-discipline.

In the Army, that's what gets you killed.

What wins here, and what most don't understand, is that discipline and humility is a far better option.

Social media love it though, because the kinds of people that praise these actions lack any sort of discipline themselves.

Absolutely correct in the fight game it's the same lose control of your temper lose the match.

She must be a lot of fun at songkran with buckets not just glasses of water ????????????

Should he have fought her?

Probably

Would you fight a guy who tried to use you as a punching bag?

Even if you wronged him first somehow, would you take the assault?

Why is she being praised all over social media for trying to act gangsta?

She had a drink poured over her, after refusing his "approach",

More women should retaliate at men who seem to feel that often they a suprior to women, especially when they physically accosted.

She has the ability defend herself, and he may think twice in the future about his treatment towards women.

Yes she "lost control" however we are unaware of what else he may said/done to her before she reacted.

It would have been self defense, no?

You think she acted like a girl?

She is muay thai champion, let's not forget.

Regardless of him being a doosh and pouring a drink on her, if he had hit her after she had hit him a dozen times, it would clearly be self defense. Wouldn't it?

Not me buddy.

If she hits him, he can hit her back - that's fair enough.

Men fight men all the time, nobody cares. If she is game to fight, then she should have equality.

He can consider himself educated on the basic requirement of respect to others. He'll think twice before he does it again. You reap what you sow.

Have you just arrived off the plane,or something?

There is little respect here.

We really have to see what happened first.

His "advance" and "rejection"

Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't do anything wrong and was just saying cheers to the people at the table (including her) and she was rude to him.

None of us actually knows what happened first, but we are quick to judge the guy who got his ass kicked all the way down the road.
