Thailand’s COVID-19 zoning remains unchanged despite surge in infections

The Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has decided to maintain the current zoning of COVID-19 areas, even though daily infections are on the rise, especially in “sandbox” provinces, according to CCSA Spokesman Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin.

Thai Health Ministry to remove COVID-19 from emergency coverage list on March 1

COVID-19 patients will no longer be covered by the Universal Coverage for Emergency Patients (UCEP) scheme from March 1st and will have to pay their own medical bills if they are admitted to private hospitals, according to Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

Air ‘travel bubble’ arrangement between Thailand and India in the works

Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has given the greenlight to an agreement on an air “travel bubble” scheme between Thailand and India, so passenger services can resume after their suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision is, however, pending a cabinet approval.

Government Seeks Additional Loan to Cap Diesel Price

BANGKOK (NNT) - The government is in the process of seeking an additional 20-30 billion baht loan to maintain a ceiling on the price of diesel fuel. The Minister of Energy said the government is also considering new measures to help those affected.
