Visa on arrival

Featured Replies

OP, your possibly referring to visa exempt entry?

30 day stamp for many countries.

In any event you will require a Thailand Pass and various other requirements.

All the details are in the Many threads.

There is also a covid forum.

Are you from one of the 18 countries that can apply for a 15 day visa on arrival after paying the 2000 baht fee for it?

I suspect you are writing about a 30 day visa exempt entry.

Visa on Arival costs 2,000 Baht and gives a stay of 15 days.

Only available to applicants from a few countries.

Any confirmation or recent experience that the 15 day  Visa on Arrival process is still available and functioning?  (not asking about the 30 day exemption)

It has been available since October of last year.

Keep in mind you cannot apply for any extension of the 15 day entry.

You can apply for a 30 day extension of your 30 day visa exempt entry at immigration.

I arrived yesterday on exempt.

My plan is to change flight and add 30 days.

Brings me to before Easter.

If work is a wee bit quieter than I am now envisioning,  could I apply for 60 days covid extension pre March 26, or do I need to get the 30 day top up first.

Regards.

Most offices will require you to do the standard 30 day extension before you apply for the covid 19 extension.

I think they will extend the order for the 60 day covid extensions again in March.

Thank you very much Joe. Do i need to show a onward ticket back to germany when i check in for the flight from Frankfurt to Bangkok, or when i arrive at the Bangkok authorities?

Without a Visa you will need an onward flight to be able to board the flight in Germany.

Onward flight most likely required by airline to issue boarding pass.

Note the onward flight does not need to be return to Germany.

Any cheap flight out of Thailand is sufficient.
