Those Cheeky Russians have Sabotaged their own Gas pipeline. The Nord Stream Gasline between Russia and Germany was damaged in 3 places spewing gas to the surface. Of course, they denied it saying it was a seismic fault but the fingers are being pointed at Russia trying to destable the west by forcing Germany to come to the table and demand help to avoid them having no gas running up to Winter. Is it a coincidence that Germany is the biggest customer for Russian Gas. So Putin is trying to drive a wedge to the countries that are supporting Ukrains war.

Seems logical.

Here's full translation of his address.  "Hi everyone, the first tank regiment is here. We were officially told that there would be no training before we will be sent to the war zone. The regiment’s commanders confirmed this. On September 29 we’re will be sent to Kherson. Think for yourself, decide for yourself what to do with it in the future. There was no shooting training, no theoretical training, nothing".

Chaos is the only word to describe it. Here's another, a contingent of new recruits are told to get their wives and girlfriends to send them sanitary pads and tampons to treat the wounds they'll get.

As confirmed in the latest UK defence update:

They've also got some clips in this article, hilarious, a large group of new recruits can't even manage to hold a gun or sling it on their shoulders with a strap..........????

Ukraine Situation Report: ‘Army’ Larger Than Russia’s Invasion Force Likely Fled Mobilization

More Russians have likely fled their country in the week since President Vladimir Putin announced mobilization plans than made up the entire force massed to invade Ukraine seven months ago, according to the U.K. Ministry of Defense.

"In the seven days since President Putin announced the 'partial mobilization,' there has been a considerable exodus of Russians seeking to evade call-up," the U.K. MoD said in its latest intelligence assessment of the war. "While exact numbers are unclear, it likely exceeds the size of the total invasion force Russia fielded in February 2022."

Has Putin forgotten that the Russian Revolution began with the army rebelling against the incompetent war-mongering leadership of Tsarist Russia?

And everyone has phones nowadays. If these mobilised troops end up getting slaughtered, there's going to be many angry families in Russia. The ones who don't want to fight should surrender immediately and offer to help rebuild Ukraine rather than languish in a P.O.W camp.

Cannon Fodder. Wonder what the Ukraine Army will do once MadDog has announced his latest takeover will they attack them and carry on? Putins troops well trainees have not been able to defend their positions now so what full force will Putin use?

yes. Ukraine will continue to defend its territory, fake "referendums" and unilateral annexations will change nothing.

Well, not quite: maybe install a democracy this time around, instead of a totalitarian communist regime?

Apparently only a couple of hours to go till Putin makes his big speech with his appetite to redraw the map of the world on the sham annexation of 4 territories. Meanwhile in one of them, Zaporizhzhia, which is not fully controlled by Russia, a convoy of civilians fleeing was shelled killing at least 23 and injuring many more, awful vids on twitter.

Only one hour and 30 mn to wait.

On the day that Putin announces the annexation of the occupied territories in Ukraine, a little chunk of that is being taken away from him already, as the town of Lyman is about to be recaptured (or better yet, liberated) by the Ukrainian army and thousands of Russian troops face being trapped.

What a nice kick in the teeth to Putin on this “glorious” day. Hope there will be many more to follow.

Lyman, a town of strategic military importance in Donbass, a major embarrassment for Putin. I've read rumours that a couple of the territories will be announced as "independent territory" rather than Russian. Lets see.

He's done it:

"Russian President Vladimir Putin formally announced the Kremlin’s intention to annex nearly a fifth of Ukraine in blatant violation of international law.

Once the process is officially complete, Moscow will recognize four Ukrainian regions as Russian territory: Luhansk and Donetsk – home to two Russian-backed breakaway republics where fighting has been ongoing since 2014 – as well as Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, two areas in southern Ukraine that have been occupied by Russian forces since shortly after the invasion began."
