Ukraine war: Biden says nuclear risk highest since 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis

The risk of a nuclear "Armageddon" is at its highest level since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, US President Joe Biden has said.

Mr Biden said Russia's President Vladimir Putin was "not joking" when he spoke of using tactical nuclear weapons after suffering setbacks in Ukraine.

However, the US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan last week said that, despite Moscow's nuclear hints, the US had seen no signs that Russia was imminently preparing to use a nuclear weapon.

Russians are fleeing their homeland in protest of Putin’s draft

Russians are abandoning their families, trying to escape the war. At least 200,00 have arrived in Kazakhstan this week alone.

Some Russian Corporations have a policy now of sending employees out of the country to help them escape the draft and the war.

There are even Russian boat people arriving on US shores to avoid the draft.

Ukrainian officials say that at least 180 bodies, including "whole families" with young children, have been discovered in a mass grave in Lyman less than one week after troops reclaimed the formerly Russian-occupied city.

As the Ukrainian army liberates more towns and villages, we can probably expect many more of these horrible finds.

If the Kerch Bridge explosion was caused by Ukraine, this may well be the acid test of Putin's resolve to pursue his nuclear threats.

Bring out the iodine tablets!

It may even be the straw that finally breaks his power and credibility in the Duma and bring about a regime change.

In one of the videos, there is a large truck with a passenger car alongside that may have been the cause yet there is a boat in another shown under the bridge just before the blast too.

Looks like both lanes of the road are damaged too likely with a lot of unseen structural damage.

Something is wrong here looks like a truck was taken out with an explosion no sign of a Tanker Exploding in this Vid or a train pulling fuel tanks behind it. Reports on Sky news say's a small section of the bridge has collapsed but not confirmed. Either way, heavy tanks and Artillery will not be entering Ukraine from Russia if this is seriously damaged.

So whats it to be Russia?

Whoever did it ( Russia , Ukraine  ? ) it brings the likelihood of a tactical nuclear response by Putin a huge step closer.

Certainly , there will be those around him and the whole country egging him on to make a hard strike in retaliation pretty soon.

If it's only a small section damaged it's no problem to bridge that. Armies have things called bridges to be used in such situations. Used to be called Bailey bridges.

Crimea bridge partly reopens after huge explosion - Russia

Light traffic has resumed on Russia's only bridge to Crimea, hours after a huge blast brought down sections of the roadway.

The blast on Europe's longest bridge - a symbol of Russia's annexation of the peninsula from Ukraine in 2014 - killed three people, investigators say.

The victims were in a nearby car when a lorry blew up, Russian officials claim.

Well, it's really 2 bridges. At least 2 separate roads. The one that got hit is the one that has a road and train tracks. The trains are a very important means of transporting materiel destined for Kherson.
