The USA have already said they will respond to such an attack.

Yes but not necessarily with nukes.

If Russia does that, even one tactical nuke, according to war game models, that will most probably lead to a full on nuclear war.

But Putin is sick -- it could happen.

Statement from The Ukraine Parliament:

WARNING: The @ServiceSsu of Ukraine has neutralized Russian saboteurs who were preparing a terrorist attack – they were going to shoot down a passenger plane over the territory of Russia or Belarus.

The attackers planned to fire on a civilian plane from the Stinger anti-aircraft missile system, then unjustifiably accuse Ukraine and our partners of attacking the aircraft. The enemy sabotage group consisted of two dual citizens and an accomplice.

Their activities were coordinated by a Russian , Alexander Tyuterev, who is a staff member of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and has the call sign "Marine". He had previously participated in the organization of a series of terrorist attacks in the #Odesa region.

There are still passenger planes flying close to the warzone?

it's always better to respond Before the attack, sometimes no one can respond after the attack, better play safer then sorry

The chairman of Russia's nationalistic Rodina party, getting excited that their new hypersonic Sarmat ICBMs could hit Berlin in 106 seconds, Paris in 200 seconds and London in 202 seconds, and claiming Russia would only need to fire one Sarmat missile at the UK and "the British Isles will be no more".  Not the sharpest tool in the shed, thinking only in terms of whether the missiles could be shot down or not, and not about any retaliatory strikes that would be submarine launched.  Not to mention the wisdom of, out of all the NATO countries in Europe, looking to attack the only two nuclear armed ones.  The host of the show points out that "the UK also has nuclear weapons and a missile attack on them would result in more death everywhere".  "No one will survive in this war when you propose a Sarmat strike. Do you understand that no one will survive? No one on the planet."

"We'll start with a blank slate", replies the warmongering idiot.

Lets hope those with the mindset of the host prevail, but I wouldn't hold my breath.  The sequel to Dr Strangelove will be produced in Moscow.

Russians working/residing in Holland are being intimidated: they are called by representatives of the Russian government, and they are asked where their loyalty lies, and if they support the ‘special operation’ in Ukraine. The Dutch secret service says that they are aware of these calls, stating that Russians in Holland have access to free media, and are in contact with family and friends in Russia, and that the Russian government does not want people in Russia hearing anything other than the official Kremlin propaganda.

#BREAKING: Russian ambassador to Israel has been summoned to the Israeli Foreign Ministry after the anti-Semitic statement of the Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov that "Hitler had Jewish blood"

The above was in reference to this statement he made yesterday:

Sergei Lavrov's case for Russia's denazification of Ukraine: “So what if Zelensky is Jewish. The fact does not negate the Nazi elements in Ukraine. I believe that Hitler also had Jewish blood. Some of the worst antisemites are Jews.”

it's not possible to respond before the event happens unless time travel is involved.

these calls can't be legal in the Netherlands.

at the very least it's cold-calling.

Dutch police or better yet the media should ask the recipients of these calls if they would agree to have them recorded and published.

Great video footage here of the Russian navy getting slammed again.

Video BREAKING: The Russian Navy suffered heavy losses this morning. 2 Russian Raptor patrol boats were struck by Ukrainian Bayraktar TB-2 drones in the Black Sea near the famous Snake Island. Looks like they joined the Moskva on the bottom of the sea.

Russia only has 17 Project 03160 "Raptor" patrol boats in service. Of these 6-7 are normally part of the Black Sea Fleet. 4 that were part of the Baltic fleet were seen being trucked to the Black Sea prior to the invasion. 2 damaged/sunk here and 1 damaged by an ATGM in March means that 17% of their Raptor fleet has been hit by Ukraine and 27-30% of the Raptors in the Black Sea.

It seems that the invading Russian forces in Ukraine aren't just troops and hired mercenaries... but they're also common looting THIEVES!

Russian troops stole $5M worth of farm vehicles from a John Deere dealership, which remotely locked the thieves out of the equipment

"Russian troops occupying the Ukrainian city of Melitopol stole nearly $5 million of farm vehicles from a John Deere dealership and shipped some of them more than 700 miles to Chechnya, CNN reported, only to find they had been rendered useless by a remote-locking system that prevented the thieves from turning the equipment on.

...

Melitopol – a city in the country's southeast – has been under Russian occupation since early March. Other recent reports from the area have said invading troops looted a museum of gold artifacts and stole hundreds of thousands of tons of grain from the region. "

Reuters reported that the grain theft is occurring in the Kherson region of Ukraine, which fell to Russian forces amid the war. A city located in southern Ukraine along the Black Sea, Kherson was the first major city captured by Russia.

And if they can't steal the grain they blow it up using cruise missiles:

Russian generals 'extremely frustrated' as they fail all of Putin's 'strategic objectives'

"You know, folks — the pundits since the very beginning have said, if we push too hard, Russia is going to use some kind of extreme measure," Hertling continued. "That is certainly a consideration. What we've seen so far is, Mr. Putin, since the very beginning, has failed in achieving every one of his strategic objectives.

Now being shamelessly talked about on Russian state TV.

Video: They are plotting to cut off Ukraine's supply to its own crops and sending their corn to China.

More here:

More chilling rhetoric by Russia's Kremlin-controlled media: describing hunger as their weapon against the West. They know how to use hunger as a weapon, remember millions of Ukrainians starved to death during the Holodomor.
