Founding member of the UN, and anyway it's a talk shop for a lot of fairly unpleasant countries. Are you suggesting evicting any country that doesn't measure up to your requirements?

Are you suggesting that Russia was a founding member of the UN?

If so, please provide some supporting evidence!

Seriously? LOL.

Following the 1943 Moscow Conference and Tehran Conference, in mid-1944, the delegations from the Allied "Big Four", the Soviet Union, the UK, the US and the Republic of China, met for the Dumbarton Oaks Conference in Washington, D.C. to negotiate the UN's structure,[18] and the composition of the UN Security Council quickly became the dominant issue. France, the Republic of China, the Soviet Union, the UK and US were selected as permanent members of the Security Council;

The US, Germany, France and the UK, all going to provide more advanced air defense systems to Ukraine, maybe other countries to that I've not read about. Another shot in the foot for Putin.

Ukraine will be the most heavily protected air defense nation in the world...

So, the "Soviet Union" was a founding member of the UN Security Council!

From what I can see, you have not provided any evidence that "Russia was a founding member of the UN".

#BREAKING Moscow-installed head of Ukraine's Kherson region asks Russia to evacuate locals

https://twitter.com/AFP/status/1580530037421244416

Also confirmed by BBC

Russian-installed Kherson governor tells residents to evacuate

Vladimir Saldo, the Russian-installed governor of southern Ukraine's Kherson region, has asked residents to evacuate as fighting between Russian and advancing Ukrainian forces nears, Reuters reports.

Saldo also publicly asked for assistance from Moscow on Telegram with transporting civilians to Russia.

Kherson is one of four areas where Moscow-installed officials held so-called referendums last month to claim support for annexation. The votes have been denounced as a sham by Ukraine's government and its allies.

Putin is still blaming Ukraine and saying the damage to the bridge was an act of Terrorism. So what are you committing Putin when you are targeting civilians and infrastructure? even if it was Ukraine behind the attack it was a legitimate target as it is being used for materials being used against UKRAINE.

A good example of UN "politics" is the fact that Russia, China and Cuba are members of the UN Human Rights Council and members are elected by the UN General Assembly.

"The Human Rights Council is an inter-governmental body within the United Nations system responsible for strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights around the globe and for addressing situations of human rights violations"

NATO to hold nuclear exercise despite Russian warnings

BRUSSELS (AP) — NATO will push ahead with long-planned nuclear exercises next week despite rising tensions over the war in Ukraine and President Vladimir Putin’s insistence that he is not bluffing about using all available means to defend Russian territory, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Tuesday.

The exercise, dubbed “Steadfast Noon,” is held annually and usually runs for about one week. It involves fighter jets capable of carrying nuclear warheads but does not involve any live bombs.

EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell said that the people supporting Ukraine, the EU, its member states, the U.S., and NATO are “not bluffing” when speaking about the response in case Russia uses nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

No fact and actually it could well have been Ukraine:

Other outcomes were possible. As of December 1991, although nobody pursued the possibility at the time: two UN Members besides Russia were also, in principle, suitable to fill the USSR Security Council seat. Ukraine and Belarus had both been Union Republics of the USSR — and both were also “original Members” of the UN, i.e., founding member states.

My only concern with this being the evacuations that they are doing in Kherson and the real possibility that they will kidnap more civilians and children to take them to Russian controlled areas or Russia.

How Moscow Grabs Ukraine kids and makes them Russians

Russia’s open effort to adopt Ukrainian children and bring them up as Russian is already well underway, in one of the most explosive issues of the war, an Associated Press investigation shows.

Thousands of children have been found in the basements of war-torn cities like Mariupol and at orphanages in the Russian-backed separatist territories of Donbas. They include those whose parents were killed by Russian shelling as well as others in institutions or with foster families, known as “children of the state.”

Perhaps the fact that the Soviet Union is not the same as the Russian Federation is lost on you.

The USSR was comprised of 15 different countries, fourteen of these are not part of the Russian Federation.

The UN and the UN Security Council are two different entities.

I would suggest your post was highly inaccurate and less than a half-truth at best.

Maybe, checking your posts against a reliable source or even better still posting the correct evidence with the OP would be beneficial to others on the forum.

No, just factual. The Soviet Union and Russia are two different things. Equating them is like saying for instance, that Croatia is the same thing as Yugoslavia - or that Bangladesh is the same thing as Pakistan.

Just because a country was once part of a bigger entity, does not mean each component of the dissolved country is equivalent to the former whole.

as I said, for me the UN is outdated and irrelevant in it's current layout, dissolve and re-create & update UN to current world standings, we are no longer in 1945, many things have changed, many new countries, regions, Africa and South America should have members in the security council, veto powers should be removed and allow for the majority vote to accept/pass any recommendations/resolutions

Send your son to die.

Maybe it will wake the Russians up. They did not really care as long as it was Ukrainians dying, or soldiers from Dagestan. When white Russians start to die in significant numbers  that may be another story.

The Russian claim that they are de-nazifying Ukraine is both extremely paradoxical and hypocritical.

Their stealing of children, besides Putin's propaganda, terror bombing tactics and genocide is another scheme straight out of Hitler's Nazi playbook.

Hitler stolen hundreds of thousands of Germanic-looking children from captured countries to raise as Nazis for his Aryan Race Lebensborn program.
