Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital

Kidnapped Ukrainian kids are being sent to sinister "re-education camps" by Putin's evil child snatchers in a bid to turn them into "Russian zombies", according to a report.

Children inside the camps are said to have been put through the process of "information zombification" to rid them of their Ukrainian heritage and make them "pro-Russian."

The Ukranians have no defense against hypersonic missiles, according to Al Jazeera- they just go too fast.

The latest attack has demonstrated that nowhere in Ukraine is immune to Russian missile strikes.

The latest US budget negotiations will be interesting if the GOP decide that US $ are better spent in the US than in Ukraine.

I don't think any country currently has a defense against hypersonic missiles.

Actually, the Russian hypersonic missiles are being launched from aircraft. That's a lot of launch sites.

Correct and launched from aircraft deep inside Russia so even if they had F16s to take down the launch aircraft they are not allowed to go there as it might upset them even more.

That is one heck of an advantage and sounds rather like trying to fight with one arm tied behind the back to me.

In the Korean Conflict the U.S. and U.N. forces were not allowed to cross the Yalu River for fear of an escalation with the Red Chinese, although the Chinese continued to send wave after wave of troops.

Viet Nam, same thing......Hanoi was off limits.  Iraq and Afghanistan was again more ridiculous rules.  War is hell.  Why start one if you have no intentions of winning.  However, Ukraine was invaded by Russia and the U.S. and its allies have been intimidated by Putin's threat of nuclear weapons.

Ukraine's supporters are between a rock and a hard place as Russia continues their onslaught on the Ukrainian people and the destruction of their cities and infrastructure.

What happens next will be very interesting.

Vladimir Putin continues to suffer “extremely heavy casualties” in Ukraine, though the impact of those losses varies “dramatically” across Russia’s regions, according to UK intelligence.

“In proportion to the size of their population, the richest cities of Moscow and St Petersburg have been left relatively unscathed,” the Ministry of Defence said in its daily update.

“This is especially true for the families of the country’s elite,” it adds.

“In many of the Eastern regions, deaths are likely running, as a percentage of population, at a rate 30+ times higher than in Moscow.”

I wonder if those regions are going to start actual rebellions against this particular injustice.

Agree 100%.

IMO the only certainty if the war continues is that lots more Ukrainians will die and more destruction will occur.

The west, IMO, is carrying out a war against Russia using Ukrainian bodies, which is intolerable to me.

Either go all in and risk WW3, or stop interfering and force Ukraine to the negotiating table, IMO.

More dissent among Russian troops:

“A group of Russian troops sent to Ukraine to fight for the Kremlin’s “new” territory is threatening to raise absolute hell over what they describe as pointless suicide missions—and they’ve made clear they’re willing to turn their weapons on members of their own team if necessary.”

Hope lots more will follow this example and tell their commanders to go **** themselves.

No army tolerates mutineers.

Dude, will you stop with that? There is no get out of jail free card here. There is no alternative. If you start negotiating with Russia, you will show them that it pays to be a bully. And then next year they will want the rest of Ukraine. And the year after that they will want to push back the Polish border, or go after the Baltics. An so on and so forth. So please stop pushing that myth that a negotiated peace is the only way out.

Short of unconditional surrender all wars end in negotiations.

Propaganda is as important in a war as soldiers, IMO. If the population lose the will to support it, likely their side will fail.

There are examples in WW2 of actions carried out simply to bolster public support.

So Putin scored a few brownie points with his own population, big whoop. How long will it take for them to forget that? All I wanted to point out was how stupid it was to waste about half their stock of precious missiles on useless targets.
