Hello everyone,

 

 

I would like to ask unvaccinated people-  have any of you traveled last time unvaccinated to your country e.g. Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Dennmark? Did anyone get a negative response while applying on Thailand Pass? Or couldn't come back to Thailand because lack of vaccine ? Has anyone had problems at the airport one side or the other due to the lack of a vaccine? 

 

I am asking because I am not vaccined and plan to go and come back to BKK. According to Thailand Pass regulations unvaccined can fly to Thailand, but must go on the 10-days quarantine in ASQ hotel. However I got an information on number 1240 that unvaccined people cannot come back and brilliant government can make lockdown again because Covid. 

 

So I will be wonder to know how is it for unvaccined people.

You have to check the requirements for each country that you want to enter AND also read about possible in-country restrictions, I.e. restaurant visits only for vaccinated/recovered people only.

 

For Thailand it currently is 10 day mandatory quarantine plus testing, insurance etc., BUT that can change daily, depending on Prayut's mood

And I’m sure people just love doing all sorts of vax and testing research before going on vacation. Especially when the research can be void within a day as you say. 

Of topic posts meant to deflect the topic by bringing a offtopic discussion about getting vaccinated or not.

Why are you unvaccinated? ????

 

Perhaps some sort of visa agent would be able to answer the question and/or make the necessary arrangements?

What could a visa agent do? 

An agent eg TVC can assist you paperwork wise for TP etc that's all. 

 

OP there is no ban on unvaccinated folk entering thailand however currently you would require quarantine period.

They could most likely get a correct answer and assist with the paperwork as you state.  Could help make the necessary arrangements (reservations) with quarantine hotel etc.

 

Basically…hand holding.  But for some, it’s worth it.  I wasn’t referring to an agent who circumvents the rules such as those who help people bypass the income requirements for an extension based on retirement.

Yes think I was bit trigger happy.

In fact I'm thinking of using an agent to assist with process of bringing my son (adult) from Oz to Thailand for a visit. 

He could do with some assistance obtaining TP and the hotel booking etc.

I wonder how many folk just put it the too hard basket and skip coming to Thailand. 

Whatever answer you get now might not apply in a few weeks.

And it's not only the regulations of the countries, there are also regulations from the airlines.

Probably quite a few.  I have one friend who won’t come visit until he can just hop on a plane and show up.  I suspect that all the hoops that people have to jump through are turning quite a few potential tourists off….and the numbers seem to show it.  Take a look at Mexico for a comparison…

Yes, you are right.

 

But please don't dismiss the first two lines of my comment.

Regulations change all the time, and in Thailand sometimes within days without warning.

Obviously it's a good idea that the OP checks about the current situation. But it can happen that he will find out in the middle of his trip out of Thailand that he can't return because the regulations changed.

Yeah, except the question is how to arrive in Thailand unvaccinated. A perfectly legit question. So no, that would not solve his problem at all. That would give him an entire new set of problems.

It would depend on why you are unvaccinated, if its because you recently had covid and so do not need a vaccination yet (I think its 30 days gap recommended) it may be possible to get a medical exemption.

 

Same goes if you are one of those rare individuals who have a medical condition then you also get an exemption. However if its because you simply do not want to be vaccinated because of your own decision then of course its still possible but rather than have the privilege of the test and go entry, you will need to 10 day quarantine option.

 

All decisions have consequences.

I knew it wasn't going to ... come out with the "get vaxxed - then no problems" comment. I will be staying unvaccinated for as long as possible, and I don't have a medical condition. I dont need to make excuses for my decision.

 

If it comes to the point where the only way I can travel if I must travel, or eat is to take a jab - well then I'll take a jab, but not a moment sooner.

 

Just in case anyone is planning to travel to the Philippines, you can't enter unvaxxed, since January 17, and that includes their own citizens.

I hope the unvaccinated are banned from travelling. Get the jab.

I agree. But there is the remote possibility that the OP suffers from some condition that prevent him from getting vaccinated.

 

But IMHO airlines should make it a policy not to fly unvaccinated passengers.

It is looking more and more possible, the Thais will see the errors of their ways. Many countries lifting all restrictions. Major countries too. Unfortunately Thais tend to follow China more than anyone, but that’s a broken underlying model so it’s a fallacy to emulate it.

If you are vaccinated you have nothing to fear have you?

 

If he gets covid and, in the unlikely event, has to go to hospital then he will have to pay. 

 

What is the problem?  Why ban the unvaccinated from traveling?  They still have to get the test to say don't have covid before they fly anyway.

While I agree...  Given the current pandemic / endemic climate IF the Op is unable to get vaccinated for medical reasons I’m sure he may have just written that knowing how divisive the issue is. 

 

The the omission of such information readily lends to an assumption that the Op is not vaccinated by choice. 

 

Given that assumption he’s going to struggle with something as minimally technical as the Thailand Pass !!!  

 

The information is quite clear - Non vaccinated people can enter Thailand, they have to do ASQ for 10 days. 

 

I think the Op wanted know IF any non-vaccinated people have had success applying for ASQ with Thailand Pass, which is a slightly different question than can he return without being vaccinated.

The UK is already open to anyone, vaxxed or no vaxxed.
