Hi,

I would like to start homeschooling my 6 year old son.

I have read that there is no requirement to register children for homeschooling until they are 7 (my son is nearly 7).

We are based in Pattaya, in case that matters.

Has anybody had any experience with doing this?

Also, any links to English speaking resources in Thailand would be very welcome.

Many thanks in advance.

Good luck with that. I faced staunch opposition when I proposed home schooling for our granddaughter. Combined with the work needed when you actually do HS, I gave up, just try to fill in the many gaps, like critical thinking and sport for example. It IS legal in Thailand, there are Facebook groups you can look for.

I'm finding that every changwat is different. It's rather a <deleted>show, they don't seem to follow the national laws about homeschooling.

You can check my topic about housing reqs
